By combining technology-based instruction with face-to-face classroom activities, Ooka Island offers a blended learning solution for early literacy in Pre-K to 2nd Grade classrooms. Blended learning on Ooka Island means teachers always have actionable data to make the most of their time with individual students.
The Ooka Island Adventure can be used as a stand alone program or in a blended learning environment with complementary and enhancing print components such as books, guides, lesson plans, sentence strips, consumable workbooks, and story game cards. Teachers can divide students into three small groups and rotate the groups through three literacy stations. Groups spend 20 minutes at each station to complete a full hour of engaging, early literacy activity. Learn more details on each literacy station below.
