Progress Summary Reports
and Instructional Time in Game Reporting

Welcome to our fourth Video Tutorial in the Ooka Lighthouse!

My name is Jim Barber and I am the CEO and creative director at Ooka Island Reading Programs. Today I would like to share a quick video with you on using the Lighthouse, Ooka Island’s real-time online data reporting system.

This video tutorial will focus on the Progress Summary Reports and Instructional Time in Game Reporting in the Ooka Lighthouse. Watch the video tutorial below, or scroll down to read the script if you prefer!

To access the Progress Summary Reports, log into the Lighthouse using your username and password. Once on the main page, click on the ‘Progress Summary’ button.

From the Summary Reports page, click on ‘Activity Progress Reports’.

Use the drop down box to choose the summary activity you would like to view, then click on the Update button.

I will check on how this class is doing in the Cave of Sounds activity.

The Activity Progress Report for the Cave of Sounds shows where each student from the class has progressed to in the activity. Report definitions are located at the bottom of the page.

Please note that many of the reports require Flash to be viewed.

As always, each report can be printed off.

Next, let’s go back to the Progress Summary Report page and view the Book Progress Report for this class.

The Book Progress Report shows how many books each student has read on the book path in the Ooka Adventure.

Now, let’s go back to the Progress Summary Reports page one last time, and select the Instructional Time in Game Report.

This report shows the time each player has spent in the reading activities and does not include time spent paused, or in “Free Play”.

This concludes Part 4 of the Ooka Lighthouse Video Tutorial. If you have any questions, please contact our Support Team

Have a great day and read on!
